I’ve been on a ricotta pancakes kick lately. So good.

Behind every good writing piece is usually a big cry, a 5am groggy grumpy wake up, a “ paid for by my local coffee shop” jittery induced stupor, or, my favorite, anxiety that just won’t leave the brain 🤪 we are all your kitchen counters sometimes 🫶🏼

This is my first time reading here and I love your wit and humor, and also the recommendations! I’m hoping to join Exhale the next time they open enrollment, and I just preordered Create Anyways yesterday *woot woot* I have also listened to the author Jennette McCurdy on a podcast recently so I will look into that book once I finish up the two I’m reading!

I’m currently in the process of publishing my own poetry book about motherhood, the nitty gritty of it, and being in spaces like this is so uplifting and encouraging 🙏🏼

I’ve bookmarked the red curry soup. I made the Dijon cream chicken in your last newsletter last week and 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Immediately sent to my sister in law who also have it rave reviews. I used leftover sauce to make a French country soup.

And I love what you say about the mess and moments we choose to share. I’m working on letting go of some of the mess.

I am currently listening to Spare and I feel like I need to take notes on all I'd like to discuss.

"I'm Glad My Mom Died" WRECKED me too. I didn't listen to it but now I really want to go listen to the audiobook version! Can't wait to try out some of these recipes, too. Here's to giving ourselves permission to be messy people.

“In the last six weeks, I’ve had a lot of ‘pretty table presentation’ moments. And for those, I’m so grateful. But don’t ever forget that we’re all the same. The real story, the complete story, is always, always, always a whole lot messier than the snapshot you see.” 💛

My favorite part of this entire thing is that you ate the tart *before* you cleaned. Your type 3 friend needed to be reminded that’s an option 😜

Always love your newsletter Sonya! I say that as I’m standing in my kitchen full of mess from last nights pizza night but sweet memories of our weekly pizza and movie nights.
